FORMER CTG MEMBERS ARRESTED IN ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY
ZAMBOANGA Sibugay – On August 14, 2024, personnel from 55SAC, 5SAB of SAF together with the elements of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group RFU 9, Regional Special Operation Team as lead unit, other PNP units and AFP counterpart arrested alias Ason and alias Jonas in a joint law enforcement operation conducted in Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The suspects are former CTG members under Western Mindanao Regional Party Committee of Guerilla Front Feliciano-A. They were arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Multiple Attempted Murder under Criminal Case No. 2021-04-16(2168) dated December 29, 2021 with recommended bail of PhP120,000.00 issued by Regional Trial Court, Branch 27, 9th Judicial Region, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.
CIDG-RSOT9 Zamboanga CFU took custody of the arrested suspects for documentation and proper disposition.
The successful operation is a manifestation of strong commitment and support of the Unit to other law enforcement agencies in the maintenance of peace and order in the region. (SAF PIO)
