SUSPECT NABBED FOR VIOLATION OF RA 10591 IN NEGROS OCCIDENTAL

Negros Occidental - On February 21, 2025, personnel from 61SAC of 6th Special Action Battalion of PNP SAF provided tactical support to the elements of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) – Negros Occidental Provincial Field Unit (PFU) as lead unit, together with other law enforcement units in a joint operation that resulted in the arrest of alias “Marvin” in Brgy. Talacdan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
The operation was conducted against the arrested person by virtue of Search Warrant No. 2025-05 for violation of R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), issued by the Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 61, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, dated February 17, 2025. Seized during the operation were one caliber .45 pistol; one lower receiver, upper receiver, and barrel for a caliber .45; one suppressor; three magazines for a caliber .45 pistol; one magazine for a KG-9; 22 rounds of caliber .45 ammunition; one green tactical sling bag; and one black sling bag.
CIDG Negros Occidental PFU took custody of the arrested person and seized items for documentation and disposition.
